Achieving a 2kg bird in just 30 days isn't magic—it’s a combination of superior genetics, precision feeding, and strict management.

1. The Critical 'Golden Week'

The first 7 days are the most important. A chick that fails to hit its target weight in week one will never catch up. • Pre-Heating: Ensure your brooder is 32°C to 34°C before the chicks arrive. • Instant Hydration: Offer lukewarm water with glucose and vitamins immediately.

2. High-Protein Starter Phase

To hit 2kg quickly, you cannot compromise on feed quality. • Use a Starter Crumble with at least 22–23% crude protein. • The 40-30-15 Rule: In the first 24 hours, ensure chicks eat at least 40g of feed.

3. Lighting and Feed Intake

Chickens only grow when they eat. To reach 2kg, your birds need a nearly 24-hour feeding window.

4. Space and Air Quality

Congestion leads to stunted growth. By day 21, ensure you have no more than 10–12 birds per square meter.
